$10 Cover | 6:30pm | Tom Bethke is a lifelong Musician / Guitarist / Composer who has spent most of his professional career working in Los Angeles, and is currently splitting time between the LA music scene and the California Central Coast. Tom’s virtuosity enables him to perform in a wide range of styles and situations as a soloist or in an ensemble setting. He has recorded numerous scores for TV and Film, as well as being taped for countless live shows for stage and theatre. Tom is a member of ASCAP, a published composer and has played on countless industry recordings. The diverse range of artists and composers he has worked with include Sir James Galway, Joel Gray, Jewel, Jan Hammer, Van Dyke Parks, Katherine McPhee, Najee, Micheal Bolton, Thelma Houston, Bernadette Peters, Henry Mancini, Les McCann, Gary Morris, Juice Newton, Dinah Carroll, Steve Wariner, Joe Williams and Michael Wolff, and many more.
Ken Hustad is a freelance musician, bass player and instructor, and has been working on the Central Coast for over 30 years. His musical vocabulary includes orchestral and chamber music, as well as jazz, rock, blues, Americana and Country, and also include working in theater as well as numerous audio recordings. Hustad is currently principal string bass for the San Luis Obispo Symphony, and also plays with San Luis Obispo Master Chorale, Orchestra Novo, The Santa Maria Philharmonic, Symphony of the Vines, and Opera SLO. Ken also performs with many jazz and commercial groups in a wide variety of styles and settings. Besides maintaining an active private studio, he is an academic bass instructor for the Cal Poly State University and Cuesta College Music Departments.
